Purim begins at sundown Monday, March 22, 2027. The holiday recalls the story told in the Book of Esther, when Queen Esther and her cousin Mordecai helped save the Jewish people of ancient Persia from Haman's plot. It is one of the most joyful days on the Jewish calendar, marked by hearing the Megillah read aloud, sharing gifts of food, giving to those in need, and enjoying a festive meal.
Purim is famously a day for costumes and celebration, and an eCardToon card is designed to fit that spirit while respecting the holiday's meaning. A cheerful animated character greets your recipient by name and wishes them Chag Purim Sameach, or Happy Purim, before delivering any message you add. You might mention the hamantaschen you are baking, the costume your kids picked this year, or simply how much you wish you were celebrating together. Children especially love hearing a character call out their name, and a card can be part of the fun of getting ready for the Megillah reading in their costumes.
A video card is a natural companion to mishloach manot, the baskets of treats friends exchange on Purim. Send one to family in another city, to a friend whose basket you could not deliver in person, to your synagogue's volunteers, or to a teacher at your children's Hebrew school. It is a small way to share the happiness of the day with people who are far away. You might also use a card to thank the volunteers who prepare the Purim celebration at your synagogue or school, or to wish a new neighbor a happy first Purim in the community.
You will see the exact words the character will say before you check out. Your card arrives by email within minutes with a private link that plays on phones and TVs, and you can download it in vertical or widescreen format to share however your family likes to connect.
