Personalized New Year's video eCards

New Year's Day falls on January 1, and it's the one holiday everybody shares at the very same moment. A quick text gets lost in a flood of midnight messages; an animated video card that says their name out loud does not. eCardToon New Year's cards will let you send a short, fully animated greeting in which a cartoon character wishes them a happy New Year by name and delivers the message you write.

Think of a toast from a cheerful character standing in front of fireworks over a city skyline, or a sleepy party-hat mascot counting down the final seconds before shouting your friend's name. Because every card is rendered for one person, it feels like a little production made just for them — and it's ready in minutes, so you can still send one at 11:55 p.m.

New Year's cards also make a thoughtful follow-up to the holidays: a thank-you to family who hosted you, a 'we made it' to a coworker, or a hopeful note to someone who had a hard year. Short messages work best — a resolution you're making together, an inside joke from last year, or simply 'I'm so glad you're in my life.' Old college roommates scattered across the country will welcome an excuse to reconnect, and grandparents light up at a card that names every grandchild.

Timing is part of the fun. Some people send their card in the last hour of December 31 so it's waiting when the clock strikes twelve; others save it for New Year's morning, when everyone is slowly waking up and scrolling through their phones. If you have friends in other time zones, you can order ahead and pass the link along at their midnight rather than yours. Scheduled delivery is on our roadmap; for now, you simply send the link whenever the moment feels right.

Like every eCardToon, the finished card arrives by email with a private link, plays beautifully on phones and TVs, and can be downloaded as a video to share by text, WhatsApp or social media. You'll check the exact words before checkout, so names are spelled the way you want them said.
