International Workers' Day video eCards

Be the first to know when International Workers' Day cards launch.

Can't wait? Personalized Santa Claus cards are available now.

International Workers' Day, also known as May Day, is observed on May 1. It's widely traced to the labor movement's fight for the eight-hour workday in the United States, including the 1886 strikes and the Haymarket affair in Chicago, and it was adopted as an international labor day a few years later. Today it's a public holiday in many countries, including Mexico, where it's known as Día del Trabajo. The United States observes its own Labor Day in September instead.

An eCardToon International Workers' Day card is a simple, sincere way to say thank you to someone whose work you value. It's a short animated video that greets them by name and shares your own words. It keeps the attention on people and on their work, and it doesn't take a side in anyone's politics: the message is yours to write.

Think about who keeps your world running: the nurses on the night shift, the crew that fixes your street, the cooks and cleaners, the teachers, the coworkers you trust, the parent who worked two jobs. A specific thank-you means the most: 'You've opened this shop every morning for twenty years, and this neighborhood knows it.' Union members might share a word of solidarity with their local. You have up to 50 words, and every card is made for one person, so you can personalize one for each teammate.

You'll see the exact script before you pay. The card is ready in minutes and arrives by email with a private link to forward, plus a video to download in the video shape you choose. For the American holiday in September, see our Labor Day collection.
