Passover begins at sundown Wednesday, April 21, 2027. Known in Hebrew as Pesach, the holiday commemorates the Exodus, when the Israelites were freed from slavery in Egypt. Families gather for the seder, retell the story from the Haggadah, eat matzah and other symbolic foods, and reflect on the meaning of freedom across generations.

An eCardToon Passover card will let a warm animated character greet your recipient by name and wish them Chag Pesach Sameach, or a happy and kosher Passover, before sharing any message you write. You might thank the relative who hosts the seder every year, tell a grandchild how proud you were when they asked the Four Questions, or let family across the country know you will be thinking of them at the table. Some families also like to send a card later in the week, wishing loved ones a meaningful rest of the holiday.

Passover is a holiday centered on family, and a video card is a lovely way to include people who cannot be at your seder this year. Send one to grandparents, to college students celebrating away from home, to a friend hosting their first seder, or to members of your synagogue community. We are designing these scenes to be respectful and inviting, drawing on familiar symbols like the seder table and spring. Hosts often spend days preparing the home and the meal, and a card of thanks afterward is a kind way to recognize all that work.

You will see the exact words the character will speak before checkout. Your card is emailed within minutes as a private link that plays on phones and TVs, and you can download a vertical or widescreen version to share before the first seder begins. Keep in mind that many observant families do not use phones during the first days of the holiday, so sending a card before sundown is a thoughtful choice.
